Information Collected

DogFoodCostCalc is a read-only calculator tool. No account, registration, or personal information is required to use any feature of this site.

The only data that may be collected automatically is:

• Google Analytics: Anonymous usage statistics including page views, session duration, browser type, device type, and general geographic location. This helps understand how visitors use the site and which content is most useful.
• Technical Data: IP address (anonymized), browser user agent string, and referring website, transmitted automatically as part of standard web server logs.

Nothing you enter into the calculator is collected, stored, or processed. All calculations happen entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. No data from your dog's breed, weight, or activity selections is transmitted to any server.

Cookies

Minimal cookies are used on this site: only those required for Google Analytics. These persistent cookies distinguish unique visitors and track session information.

These cookies contain no personally identifiable information. No advertising cookies, marketing cookies, retargeting cookies, or social media pixel tracking are used.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings and still use the calculator normally. Your visit simply won't be counted in analytics.

Third-Party Services

This site uses the following third-party services:

• Google Analytics: For anonymous usage analytics. IP anonymization is enabled to mask IP addresses before any data is stored. Subject to Google's privacy policy.
• Google Search Console: For search performance monitoring. Provides aggregate impression and click data only: no individual user information.

Data Retention

Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months before automatic deletion. Server logs containing anonymized IP addresses are retained for 30 days. No database of user information exists, and there is no mechanism to associate usage data with individual visitors.

Regional Privacy Regulations

EEA residents have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing.

Under CCPA, California residents can request to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, or opt out of its sale.

Children's Privacy

This website is not directed at children under 13. No personal information is knowingly collected from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact me and I will delete it promptly.

Data Security

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS using TLS encryption to ensure secure communication between your browser and the server. Security practices are reviewed regularly to maintain protection against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of data.
